As we heard in the news, the Opposition Leader used last night’s Budget Reply speech to lay the blame for any future increase to interest rates at the feet of the Albanese Government. Peter Dutton argued the government’s budget will fuel inflation and make cost of living pressures worse for millions of Australians. He said the budget risks creating a generation of working poor Australians.
A 20-year-old today earning an average salary will be caught in the net of Labor’s doubling of superannuation taxes. Modelling released to the Coalition under Freedom of Information on the government’s controversial superannuation tax hike confirm the changes will apply to young Australians earning average wages over their lifetimes.
The Coalition welcomes today’s announcement of $18 million to address child care deserts across the country, however the Government needs to do more to increase access to early learning education in the regions.

Australian families continue to pay more for early childhood education under Labor, with the latest CPI data showing out of pocket costs have increased for a second quarter by a further two per cent.

Interesting moment happened in the Federal Parliament today that I wanted to tell you about. Angie Bell is new member in the LNP, she represents a seat that’s in and around the Gold Coast, and she’s in a same sex relationship. She is part of the new face of the new Liberal Party, right. Yet still Labor people was throwing slurs at her. Here’s part of what happened in Parliament.

The behaviour of politicians in the spotlight again this morning. Gold Coast Federal MP Angie Bell has launched a complaint about an alleged slur on her family by a Labor MP. It happened in Parliament yesterday. The Member for Moncrieff is the Liberal Party’s first openly gay woman in Parliament, and was talking about the cost of early learning when Victorian MP Sam Rae interjected, but he’s denied yelling the offensive remark, but Angie Bell alleges the comment he made was offensive.
Almost 2500 Gold Coasters in the last year reportedly suffered from out-of-control car theft and associated crimes, including my own household. As youth offences continue to make headlines, we have finally seen common sense prevail and an embarrassing backflip from the Queensland Labor government to implement LNP juvenile justice reform measures.

Well, a little over nine days ago, the worst earthquake in 100 years struck Syria and Turkey. A 7.7 degree magnitude earthquake followed by a 7.5 degree magnitude earthquake with 1,600 aftershocks. This earthquake has devastated Syria and Turkey.
