During the last election, Labor promised families living in Braddon they would be better off, but their ‘cheaper childcare’ policy has only delivered higher fees, longer waitlists, no access and further pressure on the sector.

Charities from the Dandenongs to the Gold Coast have described themselves as the ‘hidden face’ of the Albanese Government’s cost-of-living crisis. Operators said they are facing record demand for their services against a backdrop of inflation, rising rents and reduced donations.
