Question to the Minister for Defence-Signaller Sean McCarthy

Today I asked the Minister for Defence to update the House on Australia’s efforts to bring back Australians and Australian visa holders from Afghanistan.

In his response he honoured Signaller Sean McCarthy, a graduate of the Class of 2000 from Trinity Lutheran College in Moncrieff who was tragically killed after being wounded while serving as a member of the elite Special Air Service Regiment, in Afghanistan.

Our thoughts are with Sean’s family and friends and we thank him for his service to his country.
