The lack of action by the state and federal governments for the ticking time bomb that is the infestation of fire ants across the premier tourism destination of the Gold Coast is jaw-dropping.

Charities from the Dandenongs to the Gold Coast have described themselves as the ‘hidden face’ of the Albanese Government’s cost-of-living crisis. Operators said they are facing record demand for their services against a backdrop of inflation, rising rents and reduced donations.
